Rebecca Rich

Certified Instructor

Bio

Rebecca was introduced to the Pilates Method in 1994 and took to it immediately. As a life-long learner of many movement practices (a former competitive athlete, dancer and certified yoga teacher), Pilates felt natural to her and she decided to become a teacher. Soon, she completed her training through master trainer Ivon Dahl and began teaching. Rebecca also studied with many of the second generation teachers, trained by Joseph Pilates and Romana Kryzanowska, as well as first generation teachers from what is now considered Contemporary Pilates. She loves to teach beginners, as well as clients who want to stay fit, active and healthy. Although she has been practicing Pilates for many years, she believes that with the Method, the possibilities of body and mind improvements are unlimited.

What brought you to Pilates?

I am always inspired to find new ways to think about movement and being in my body. The immediate benefits of stability, balance and utilizing alternate muscle groups within a framework that allowed for stretching had me hooked.

Why do you teach?

I have so much respect for the intelligence of Pilates and love sharing my knowledge and passion for it. It’s a joy for me to be part of the process and witness the development of the inside-out philosophy take form.

Fun fact

I grew up in Colorado and love to swim in cold mountain lakes.
