Chalice Crawford
Instructor
Bio
Chalice is an East Coast native with a rich background in dance, Pilates, and yoga. After many years of dancing, she felt a calling to become a yoga instructor. Recognizing the lack of representation of Black and Brown instructors in both yoga and Pilates, she pursued and earned her 200-hour certification in Vinyasa Yoga in 2021, and is now completing a Pilates teacher certification through Balanced Body. Chalice's mission is to create accessible and inclusive spaces where her community can heal through movement. Her unique playlists keep students engaged and motivated throughout their practice, and her classes are designed to build strength, reaffirm, and empower students, leaving them feeling rejuvenated.
What brought you to Pilates?
I have scoliosis, and Pilates helped alleviate much of the discomfort I was experiencing. As a dance and yoga instructor, I felt inspired to share the benefits I’d received from the practice with others. Over time, I also became aware of the underrepresentation of Black instructors in the Pilates world, and I wanted to be part of changing that.
Why do you teach?
I love helping people feel their best.
Fun fact
I never miss a Beyoncé concert. In fact, I usually go more than once.
